Stepping Stones North Edinburgh

Circle - Harbour Project

The Harbour Project supports families affected by parental substance use. We continue to provide support to our families throughout this time. Our Family Outreach Workers are keeping in touch with people over the telephone, by text and e-mail and by the use of video calling. We have set up a closed Facebook page for families we support on which we are sharing useful information and suggestions. We hope to establish some 'live' sessions and possibly groups via Zoom. Circle - Haven Project

Haven Project staff are continuing to support children and families in the North Edinburgh (Forth Neighbourhood) throughout the COVID-19 situation. Although we are having to adapt the way in which we offer our service, we are striving to continue to provide high quality support to everyone by being as creative as possible.

  • Staff will be providing support to families over the telephone, via text and e-mail and by using video calling where possible. Workers will contact families regularly to offer as much help as we can.
  • If you have recently been referred to Circle you will be allocated to a member of the team who will phone you as soon as possible and discuss how best to support you at this time.

Licketyspit's high quality resources can potentially be shared Edinburgh-wide to support distance learning, health & well-being.

Kirkliston has set up a network of 150 Street Leader volunteers to try and connect neighbours on a local level, enabling all residents in the Village to be supported and helped during the COVID 19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. Volunteers can help their neighbours by picking up food and prescriptions, checking in on them to prevent social isolation, referring to local foodbanks for emergency help and putting them in touch with official services that can help them if the network can't.

Oi Musica - Brass Blast project

We are now working online to provide social connection & positive home learning experiences for young people - particularly in the Bingham / Magdalene / Christians area. We provide weekly online music lessons & social sessions for 40 young people aged 10+. We are also providing free public creative learning activities for the whole family. We are currently operating at capacity, but are nevertheless interested in hearing from potential partner organisations who might want to refer young people
